Cricket News sort by Friends Life T20 2011

The Friends Life t20 (previously known as the Friends Provident t20) is a Twenty20 cricket league in England and Wales run by the ECB since 2010. The league consists of the 18 first-class counties teams divided into two divisions of nine teams each (north-south). This plan, announced by the ECB in February 2009, replaced the more ambitious EPL project which would have included two overseas teams.

The Friends Provident T20 2011 will be the second season of Englands premier domestic Twenty-20 competition. The season will start on June 1 2011 and end on August 27 2011

The recently sacked skipper of Pakistan Cricket Team, Shahid Afridi, has signed with Hampshire Royals to play in the English domestic cricket’s new Friends Life T20 tournament.

Essex have signed Tim Southee, the New Zealand swing bowler, for the Friends Life t20 competition where he will link up with team-mate Scott Styris at Chelmsford.
